Did you know that over 468 million children are currently living in conflict zones and are not free to play? That represents 1/5 of all children in the world. Last year, War Child launched Play to Free, and our very first 12 Days of Play campaign, to raise critical funds and awareness to support children who are living with war and violence.
War Child supporters like Sarah Rafferty, Patrick J. Adams, Troian Bellisario, Chantal Kreviazuk, Raine Maida, Dave Yaden, Dante Basco, Kristen Alderson, JD Witherspoon, and many more, joined in the fun, playing games, music, and even Jenga to play to free children from the trauma of war.
We hope that you will join us from September 21, the International Day of Peace, to October 2nd, the International Day of Non-Violence, for our 2nd annual 12 Days of Play campaign, as we rally our community to play to raise funds and awareness to support our programs.
There are many ways to join, including streaming online, playing board games, playing music, hosting a pickleball tournament and more. Sign up for your chance to win a variety of prizes, including t-shirts, mousepads, and even two one-of-a-kind art pieces from acclaimed street artist Jimmy Paintz for our top two fundraisers! Our Play to Free toolkit has everything you need to be successful, and we cannot wait to see how you put the “FUN” into fundraising!

Your participation will help empower hundreds of thousands of children who simply want to be able to play, learn, and feel safe while they build their confidence and grow. War Child’s locally led programs provide war-affected children and families with access to education, protection, and economic opportunities – so that they can build better futures for themselves and their communities.
Help War Child reach new audiences by hosting your own In Conversation with War Child event. These events are unique opportunities to have crucial conversations about the effects of war on women and children and connect War Child and our work to people in your networks.
